QUESTION: Did Nightmare Manor flood?
ANSWER: Yes, Nightmare Manor flooded. The water came just to our floor, but many of our props, etc. were stored on the lower level. Also the long term moisture in the building destroyed much of our audio and electrical equipment and warped doors and buckled floors which then had to be replaced. The entire downstairs (basement) of the building had to be rebuilt and new electrical wiring before the building could pass inspection. We worked off a generator until early September when we finally got electricity. Also our entire outdoor cemetery washed away and had to be rebuilt. see flood pictures
QUESTION: Are you the Haunted House with the 13 floors and you get your money back if you complete it?
ANSWER: No we are not. This mysterious Haunted House is like the "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow - everyone has heard of it, but no one has ever found it!
This story is called an URBAN LEGEND.
Somewhere is a haunted house so scary that no one has ever completed it.
Belief in the "too scary to complete" haunted house appears to date to the mid-1980's. This urban legend shows itself in the fall, around Halloween. The person who claims to have been there is always a friend of a friend, or a cousin's friend etc. which is typical of urban legends, and can't be verified. This mythical house of terror has been rumored to exist all over the United States. Wherever it's been told, teens have searched but never found this house, because it doesn't exist.
The "house" has a specified number of floors and visitors are charged a large fee, but get back a specified dollar amount for each floor completed. It's so scary that no one has ever completed it. Stories tell about those who went into the house and were never seen again. Some people disappear between the fourth and fifth floors. One guy was found almost scared to death, white hair and all.
It's like the "telephone" game. The story gets better and better each time it is retold.
